PITCHING GUIDELINES

Your chances of being invited onto the show are much better if you read and follow these guidelines!

  • We are NOT about the business of design, nor do we teach designers how to build their client list. PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE THESE TOPICS in your pitch. We usually delete pitches that have any of those elements to them.

  • Our audience is primarily made up of design enthusiasts. They may be homeowners or renters. They have a wide range of budgets and aesthetic preferences. What they have in common is a desire to create a very personal, one-of-a-kind home. They care about the environment, shopping local, art and craftsmanship. We’re really looking for guests who understand our audience.

  • Each episode needs to have a RECOGNIZABLE ANGLE OR POINT OF VIEW that the guest is sharing. Feel free to offer a few suggestions in terms of what topic you’d like to be asked about.

  • We're looking for how you articulate your philosophy of life + design. If your About page only lists your professional credentials and that you create “comfortable homes unique to each client,” that won’t be enough.
