Your Style DNA:
You’re a SENSORY NESTER
Your Main Obstacle:
Facing a CLUTTER WALL
YOUR DESIGN PERSONALITY
Your home isn't a backdrop — it's a living, breathing extension of who you are and how you love.
You feel things deeply, and your home needs to match that.
You're drawn to spaces that have warmth and texture and personal meaning woven into every corner — a well-worn quilt, a handmade bowl, a plant that's been with you through three apartments.
You're not interested in showrooms.
You want a home that wraps around you like a favorite sweater.
When it's working, people walk in and immediately feel welcome, because they can feel that a real human lives here.
YOUR STARTING POINT
Before you move a single thing, you need to know what you're working toward.
YOUR FIRST ACTION
Why This First
A clear vision of how you want this room to feel is what will keep you motivated when the decluttering gets hard — and it will get hard. Think of it as your north star for the work ahead.
What To Do
Sit in the room quietly for a few minutes. Close your eyes and ask yourself: what do I want to experience in this room? Not what it should look like — how it should feel. Is it warm or cool? Bright or softly lit? What do you want to touch, smell, hear? A Sensory Nester's vision isn't a mood board — it's almost more like a memory of a place you've never been to yet but already know you'd love.
The Challenge
You may have deep emotional attachments to many of the things in this room, which can make the decluttering feel overwhelming before it even begins. The vision won't eliminate that difficulty — but it will give you a gentle filter. When you're unsure about something, come back to the vision and ask: does this belong in the room I'm trying to create?
Some Encouragement
The room you're imagining — warm, personal, alive with texture and meaning — is completely achievable. And clearing the path to it is the most loving thing you can do for yourself right now.
WHAT COMES NEXT
Your Design Personality and your Starting Point are just that — a starting point.
Where you go from here depends on things a quiz can't ask you: your stage of life, your budget, who you share your home with, and the specific rooms that need the most attention.
That's exactly why I created the Slow Style Framework.
