Your Style DNA:

You’re a STORY HUNTER

Your Main Obstacle:

Navigating a DECISION FOG

YOUR DESIGN PERSONALITY

You've always been drawn to things with a past.

A great object, for you, is one that makes you ask questions — where did it come from, who made it, what was it used for, and how did it end up here?

You shop with your eyes wide open and your gut fully engaged.

You love the unexpected combination, the thing that shouldn't work but absolutely does, the contrast between old and new, rough and refined, serious and a little absurd.

Your home at its best looks like it came together over a lifetime — because it did, and that's exactly the point.

YOUR STARTING POINT

Most design paralysis happens because you're evaluating things without any context.

YOUR FIRST ACTION

Why This First

A clear vision doesn't just tell you what belongs in a room — it tells you what doesn't even need to be considered. That sofa you keep going back and forth on? Your vision will either rule it in or rule it out, and either way you'll feel clearer than you have in months.

What To Do

Sit in the room quietly for a few minutes. Then write down how you want to feel when you're in this room. Think about the story this room is telling — or the story you want it to tell. What chapter of your life is this? What do you want it to say about who you are right now? A Story Hunter's vision is less about aesthetics and more about narrative. Once you know the story, the objects that belong in it start to become obvious — and so do the ones that don't.

The Challenge

You may find yourself falling in love with individual pieces while shopping or treasure hunting, and losing sight of whether they actually fit the room's story. The vision is your edit. Before anything comes home with you, ask: does this belong in this particular story? If the answer is maybe, it's probably a no — for now.

Some Encouragement

You've always known that the best rooms, like the best stories, reveal themselves slowly. Trust that instinct. The vision is just the opening line — and from here, the story gets to be entirely yours.

WHAT COMES NEXT

Your Design Personality and your Starting Point are just that — a starting point.

Where you go from here depends on things a quiz can't ask you: your stage of life, your budget, who you share your home with, and the specific rooms that need the most attention.

That's exactly why I created the Slow Style Framework.
